New Canaan Resident Accused Of Uttering Profanities To Woman, Daughter At CVS

A 48-year-old woman was issued a summons for allegedly uttering profane statements to a woman shopping at a CVS store along with her 10-year-old daughter.

After the encounter, the mother and daughter went to the New Canaan police to report the incident which took place at the store at 94 Park St., in New Canaan, said the New Canaan Police.

According to the woman, while shopping, a woman identified as Melissa Ann Schneider, of New Canaan, approached the pair in the store and began saying profane statements to her and her daughter, following them through the store and continuing to make the statements, police said.

The mother and daughter left the store in order to get away from Schneider.

A follow-up investigation identified Schneider and police were able to locate Schneider at her home where she was given a summons and released on a promise to appear.
