NEW CANAAN, Conn. Two incidents of car vandalism are being investigated by New Canaan Police, including one that involved a note about tight parking left on the vandalized car.
Police said someone caused a $500 scratch last Tuesday on a Ford Fusion belonging to a couple. Police said a 30-year-old woman parked the car outside a condominium complex on Park Street and when she returned at about 4 p.m. she saw the scratch extending from the right rear quarter panel to the right rear door. A note was left on the car warning her to leave enough space when she parked. The couple reported the incident last Wednesday, police said.
Police are also investigating an incident in which a car was keyed last Monday in the Center School Parking lot off Maple Street. Police said a 22-year-old New York City woman noticed five scratches on the drivers side front and rear doors of her BMW when she returned to her car at about 5:50 p.m. Police said she had parked the car there at about 7:45 a.m.
