NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A man who didn't stop for police on Nov. 17 and refused to speak with them when they showed up at his residence turned himself into New Canaan Police
Charged with interfering with an officer and driving with a suspended license is Cory P. Lynch, 39 of 2 Charles Place. Bond was set at $5,000 and his first scheduled court date is Jan. 11.
At about 1:08 a.m. on Nov. 17 an officer on patrol saw a vehicle run a stop sign at Forest Street and Locust Avenue, police said. The officer tried to stop the vehicle but the motorist refused to stop, police said.
Police followed the man to his home but he refused to come out to speak to police and instead communicated with them by telephone.
Police also ticketed him with two counts of failing to stop at a stop sign, three counts of failing to signal, speeding, failure to drive right, failure to give motor vehicle credentials to an officer, disobeying the signal of an officer and improper parking.
