New Canaan Man, 41, Charged With Threatening In Dispute

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — A 41-year-old man was arrested Monday after a victim told officers they "feared for their safety" during a domestic dispute, New Canaan police said.

John Whelen of New Canaan was arrested and charged with second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct after the incident at 5 p.m. Monday, police said.

He was held on $5,000 bond for a Tuesday court appearance.
