NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- New Canaan Police are warning residents to take basic precautions after a pair of residential burglaries were reported over the weekend.
Burglars forced entry into homes on Gower Road and Rosebrook Road, police said, with cash, jewelry and electronics taken.
The homes' alarm systems were not activated in either burglary, police said Monday.
Residents are urged to turn their alarm systems on, lock doors, hide valuables and report any suspicious activity to police by calling 911.
