A 40-year-old woman has been charged after police say she was found sleeping in her vehicle in a no-parking zone while under the influence.
Greenwich Police say they observed a running vehicle with the lights on parked in a no-parking zone on Greenwich Avenue on Saturday, Oct. 19 around 2:45 a.m.
Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Tanishia McIntosh, 40, of East Greenbush, New York, had red, bloodshot eyes and an alcoholic odor coming from her breath, according to police.
McIntosh was asked to exit the vehicle, and in doing so, she was unsteady on her feet, police say.
McIntosh was taken into custody and transported to headquarters, where police say she refused to be fingerprinted.
McIntosh was charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs and failure to comply with fingerprint requirements. She was unable to post a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Friday, Nov. 1.
