The incident took place around 12:25 a.m. Sunday, April 7, at Mystique Gentleman's Club at early 44 Poplar St., in Stamford, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin.

According to Conklin, the father allegedly had too much to drink and touched one of the dancers who then became very upset and the father began fighting with the club's bouncers.

The sons joined in the fight and the group were thrown out of the club, he said.

The unidentified man from New Haven then hung around out front making a scene and threats, Conklin added. The sons, both from Fairfield, began walking to the parking area with their father in tow when a black BMW with three people inside pulled up and began having words with the men.

The three in the BMW got of the vehicle and the 51-year-old celebrating his birthday pulled a knife which one of the suspects was able to take away from him and severely stabbed the man in the head and back, Conklin said.

One of the sons was also stabbed in the face, he added.

The crew in the BMW then sped away, police said.

The men were transported to Stamford Hospital for treatment.

“We have contacted the state Liquor Authority about this establishment several times and will again following this incident,"  Conklin said. "Whether it is for overserving or if they are involved some way in the incident."

It appears the men may have been targeted in the attack, police said.

None of the men attacked were charged. Detectives are investigating the incident and attempting to locate the black BMW involved.
