Man Banned From New Canaan Restaurant Charged With Trespassing, Police Say

A 53-year-old Fairfield County man was arrested for causing a disturbance at a popular restaurant where he had been banned from returning.

Jesse Tenney, of New Canaan, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 20, after New Canaan Police responded to 129 Elm St., on the report of an intoxicated man, said Lt. Jason Ferraro. 

When officers arrived on the scene they found Tenney who had been inside the Baldanza Cafe' allegedly creating a disturbance and was asked to leave, Ferraro said.

Ferraro said Tenney had been asked to leave the restaurant on several occasions and was told not to return.

Tenney was charged with breach of peace and criminal trespass. He was released on a $200 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 2.
