A domestic dispute that turned violent has led to a pair of charges for a 21-year-old man on Monday afternoon.
Officers from the New Canaan Police Department were dispatched to a Logan Road residence shortly before 2 p.m. on Monday, May 7, where there was a reported domestic dispute in progress between two members of the home.
Upon arrival, police were able to quell the incident and investigation determined that New Canaan resident Dean Ali Tarchoun was involved in the dispute with his victim, and he was arrested at the scene.
Tarchoun was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct. The other man involved in the incident, 51-year-old Andrew Zappelli, was also charged with disorderly conduct and released.
Following arraignment, he was remanded into custody and is being held in lieu of $25,000 property bond. Tarchoun is due back in court later this month to answer the charges.
