A pedestrian was injured after allegedly being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Fairfield County.
The incident took place in New Canaan around 10: 50 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7 at the intersection of South Avenue and Cherry Street.
Arriving officers and New Canaan EMS provided medical care to the pedestrian who sustained a non-life-threatening injury, said Lt. Marc DeFelice of the New Canaan Police.
The suspect vehicle fled the scene. No further information on the suspect vehicle was available.
DeFelice said the crash remains "an active investigation."
