Electronics, Other Items Reported Missing From New Canaan Home

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Electronics, a pearl necklace, prescription medicines and cash were reported missing from a New Canaan home Sunday, Sgt. Carol Ogrinc said.

A 52-year-old woman from New Canaan was not home from 8 p.m. April 11 through April 13 and reported many items went missing from her home during that time, Ogrinc said.

The items missing and their approximate values include: $500 cash; prescription medicines; a Panasonic CD player, $50; a Toshiba Laptop, $1,500; numerous DVDs, $250; CDs, $250; a black iPod, $200; a Walmart Gift Card, $175; a pearl necklace, $1,500; a Nintendo Wii, $200; Wii games $400 to $600; and four Wii controllers, $80.

Ogrinc was not sure how many DVDs, CDs, and Wii video games were missing from the home.

She did not say why the woman waited until April 21 to report the items missing.
