Zofia Pyz, 86, Of Wallington

WALLINGTON, N.J. -- Zofia Pyz, of Wallington, died Nov. 29. She was 86. 

She was born Feb. 11, 1930, in Poland. She was raised in Poland, where she married Michael Pyz Jan. 3, 1951. The family came to the United States Nov. 11, 1964, living first in the south Bronx. In 1970, the family moved to Conshohocken, Pa., where they remained until moving to Wallington in 2007. While living in Pennsylvania, she enjoyed gardening with her husband. She also enjoyed many years of volunteering at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, Pa. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Michael. 

She is survived by her two children and their spouses, Tadeuz and Anna Pyz and Grazyna and Bogdan Torbus; grandchildren, Klaudia Pyz, Consuela Pyz, Angela Torbus, Andrzej and wife Monika Torbus, Agata Torbus, Aneta and husband Tomasz Bodyziak and Adam Torbus; and great-granddaughter, Karolina. 

Visiting is from 7-9 p.m., Thursday at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the National Shrine at Our Lady of Czestochowa, 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown, Pa., followed by interment at the cemetery.
