PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- Salvatore A. Guarneri, of Pearl River, died Tuesday Nov. 29. He was 86.
He was born July 30, 1930, in Montvale, the son of Salvatore and Rosemary Guarneri.
He loved spending time with his family and was an avid golfer. He worked as a salesperson at Kraft Foods before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Marilee, five sons, John and wife Debra; Robert and wife Laurie; Thomas and wife Beth, David and wife Marie and Jimmy, who is deceased; grandchildren, James, Kevin, Brian, Amanda, Eric, Jessica, Matthew and Kaitlyn; great-grandchildren include Casey, Kyla and Anthony; and siblings, Joseph Guarneri, Carol Gerrish and Janice Grgyn.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Aedan RC Church, Pearl River, 23 Reld Drive, Pearl River. Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill. Visiting hours are from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc., 100 Franklin Ave., Pearl River.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends may send memorial donations to the Pearl River United Methodist Church, 130 Franklin Ave., Pearl River, NY 10965 or St. Aedan's R. C. Church, 23 Reld Drive, Pearl River, NY 10965.
