NEW CANAAN, Conn. - Rita M. McCauley of New Canaan, formerly of Irvington, N.Y., died Saturday, April 6. She was 99.
McCauley was born in Jersey City Jan. 8, 1914, daughter of James and Delia Tracy Conway.
McCauley is survived by her son, John F. McCauley (Theresa) of Ardsley, N.Y.; her daughter, Rita Marie Stone of New Canaan; and two granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday April 12, at 10 a.m. in St Thomas More Church, Middlesex Road, Darien. Interment will be private in the family plot in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Waveny Care Center (SNU) 3 Farm Road, New Canaan, CT 06840.
The Hoyt Funeral Home, New Canaan is assisting the family with the arrangements.
