HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Kathleen Y. Critchley, of Hyde Park, died Tuesday, Nov. 29. She was 91.
Born Jan. 7, 1925, in Johnstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Emma Berkey Younker.
She worked for Vassar College for many years, until her retirement in 2005.
In March of 1971, in Wilmington, Del., she married Warren T. "Tom" Critchley Sr., who predeceased her June 15, 2003.
She is survived by her son, Donald Thomas and his wife, Nathalie; son, Henry Thomas and his wife, Susan; son, Warren Critchley and his wife, Annie; son, Robert Critchley and his wife, Elizabeth; son, Michael Critchley and his wife, Cindy; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Imogene Joiner.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Harvey Thomas; daughter, Judy Salvatore; and two brothers, Donald and Bruce Younker.
Calling hours will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday at Sweet's Funeral Home Inc., Route 9, Hyde Park. There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Arlene Dawber will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
