FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A woman was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Milford along the rails of the New Haven Line on Monday afternoon, WTNH reported.
The incident was reported at about 12:45 p.m., Metro-North said on its website. Trains on the New Haven Line between New Haven and Bridgeport were delayed due to the police activity near Milford for a few hours after the incident occurred.
The delays were cleared in time for the Monday evening rush hour.
The accident occurred just west of the Milford train station, WTNH said.
