New Canaan Town Hall Building Committee III: 6:30 p.m. The town hall building committee will have a special meeting to discuss the request for proposals for architectural services for the New Canaan Town Hall renovation project, the scope of the services, cost comparisons and to hear presentations from KSQ Architects and Perkins Eastman Associates and their proposals. Summer Movie Mondays at New Canaan Library: 4 p.m. Join the library for a screening of "Chariots Of Fire" in the library’s Plaut Room. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

New Canaan Utilities Commission: 7:30 p.m. The commission will have a special meeting. New Canaan Town Hall. 77 Main St.

Tuesday, July 31

New Canaan Library Summer Reading Novel and Film: 5:30 p.m. The group will discuss "The Hitchhiker’s Guide To the Galaxy." Soda and snacks will be served. Bring your own dinner and make a night of it. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

Wednesday, Aug. 1

Heather Gaudio Fine Art presents Black + White: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibition features works by 14 international artists who will exhibit paintings, photographs, works on paper and sculptures, all in black and white. It will be on display through Aug. 15. Heather Gaudio Fine Art, 21 South Ave.

Thursday, Aug. 2

Wii Play at New Canaan Library: 3 p.m. Join us in the children's room for an afternoon of drop-in Wii gaming. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

The Summer Theater of New Canaan Presents Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat: 8 p.m. General admission seats start at $20 for open lawn seating and picnics. Performances will be at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays through Aug. 5. Waveny Park.
