Led by New Canaan Mounted Troop’s PATH certified instructors, Waveny’s program participants groomed horses and learned about equine behaviors and nutrition.

Timing of this therapeutic program follows a recently-published Ohio State University study that scientifically correlated time spent with horses on a farm with both physical and mental relief in subjects with Alzheimer’s disease and/or other neurocognitive issues.
