Some Metro-North commuters got held up early on Tuesday morning as police investigated a suspicious bag that led to delays on the New Canaan line.
MTA police investigators were dispatched to the New Canaan Metro-North station at approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning following reports of an unattended bag.
The subsequent police investigation led to delays of more than a half hour for commuters traveling from New Canaan to Stamford. The bag was ultimately deemed safe and trains were operating normally shortly after 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
