NEW CANAAN, Conn. —  A woman getting arrested twice in one week led New Canaan's news this week. Here is a look at what else happened.

? A truck accident damaged the wire system on the New Canaan line of Metro-North causing many to either take buses or find other means of transportation.

? Tuesday, The Daily Voice reported a story about a woman who was arrested twice the prior week in disorderly conduct incidents. Also, while in custody her home was reported ransacked.

? On Wednesday night the New Canaan High School Ram Council held a public meeting to create its roll out plan to supply teenagers with a safe and drug free summer. A panel discussion included Judge Richard F. Comerford Jr., New Canaan Police School Resource Officer Jason Kim, New Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corps President Melanie Barnard, and Licensed Alcohol, and Drug Abuse Counselor Joyce Sixsmith.

? New Canaan officially opened up its renovated tennis courts at Mead Memorial Park on Saturday.

? In honor of National Trails Day the New Canaan Nature Center had volunteers help clean up the trails on its grounds, and then hold a beginner’s lesson on using a compass Saturday.
