NEW CANAAN, Conn. Installation of sidewalks on the southern end of Main Street will prompt some traffic changes this week, according to the New Canaan Public Works Department.
Southbound traffic will be detoured westbound on Oak Street and/or Church Street. Alternating one-way traffic will be allowed just north of Woodland Road. All detoured traffic will be allowed to proceed southbound from Elm Place.
Two-way traffic will be allowed from Cherry Street to Church Street and from Elm Place to Farm Road.
Due to possible changes in the work and weather, detour plans are subject to change without prior notice. Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes.
