NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Teens are parents alike are invited to take part in a forum Wednesday at New Canaan High School on substance-free living.
Organized by the New Canaan High School Ram Council, the evening features a presentation from Westport native Bill Mitchell, former co-owner of Mitchell’s Family of Stores, who will share his story of recovery.
Also , Bruce Dechert of Mountainside Treatment Center in Canaan, will talk about how prevention can become part of your family's culture.
The event is set for 7:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the high school, 11 Farm Road. It is sponsored by the Ram Council and Mountainside. Teens are free and a donation is suggested of $10 for adults.
