NEW CANAAN, Conn.  – Fear not, trick-or-treaters of New Canaan: The annual New Canaan Halloween Parade is on.

New Canaan Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tucker Murphy announced early Sunday that the town’s annual Halloween event is still set to begin at 1 p.m. with marchers gathering at noon in the Park Street parking lot. The parade was in doubt due to the inclement weather set forecast for Sunday afternoon and the pending arrival of Hurricane Sandy. If rain is heavy, New Canaan will move the festivities inside at the Outback Teen Center.
