New Canaan Police Benevolent Association Hosts Boot Drive For Needy

NEW CANAAN, Conn. – The New Canaan Police Benevolent Association is sponsoring a “Boot Drive” to collect footwear through Dec. 17 for The Open Door organization, which helps the homeless as well as low-income families by providing food, shelter and other necessities.

A collection box has been placed in the main lobby of the Police Department located on 174 South Ave. Donations can be dropped off at any time of the day. Accepted donations include boots and shoes of all sizes that are new or in good, clean condition

At the conclusion of the drive, volunteers will deliver the footwear and a hot meal to The Open Door shelter in Norwalk.
