The Saturday, April 1 hunt at Waveny Park will be kicked off by the Easter Bunny. Kids will then look for 10,000 eggs, including "golden" ones containing gift certificates to New Canaan Toy Store. There will be music by a Dixieland band, pony rides, a bounce house, and face-painting. Activities will begin at 9 a.m., with the hunt at 10:15 a.m.  This will be the town's 45th annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Young Women's League of New Canaan is hosting it.

“It’s such a fun event for our children and all proceeds go to our Giving Fund, which will benefit organizations focused on improving the lives of children," said Maia Sapanski, YWL’s Vice President. "Kids Helping Kids and the Human Services Council Children’s Connection are this year’s featured beneficiaries and we are thrilled to showcase them to our community."

There will be treats and refreshments.

If it rains, the event will be at New Canaan High School.
