Max Pacioretty, who has owned a home in New Canaan, turns 25 on Wednesday. The ice hockey player was born Nov. 20, 1988, in New Canaan, CT.

Pacioretty first played at New Canaan High School during his freshman year and later signed a three-year contract with the Canadiens on July 17, 2008.

He was drafted 22nd overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens and made his NHL debut with the Montreal Canadiens on Jan. 2, 2009. He is the first player in franchise history to wear the jersey number 67.

In the 2011-12 NHL season, he become the team's points leader, finishing with a career high 33 goals and 32 assists in 79 games and won the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy.
