This program is a national initiative launched after the shooting deaths of 20 children and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.

The New Canaan and Darien Community Conversations will be a three-part series on Jan. 24, Jan. 31 and Feb. 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the New Canaan YMCA. Lunch will be provided.

The conversations are in groups of six to 12 people and will be led by a facilitator. They are designed to help your group create local change as recommendations will be presented to local decision-makers for action.

Sign up or learn more about getting involved by visiting the website.

Plan to attend all three sessions so that your conversations can grow and your group can create solutions to make the community a healthier place.
