“To receive this double recognition two years in a row reflects the quality of our exhibits and our faculty, as well as the diversity of special events, performances, and lectures we offer to the community. This is an exciting time for Silvermine,” Leslee Asch, executive director of the art center, said in a statement.
In addition to last year, the art center was previously voted “Best Art Gallery” in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2011, and “Best Art Classes” in 2008, the release said. This is the ninth annual event.
The release quoted Moffley Publications as saying: “Silvermine is the kind of place that simply draws in artists and art enthusiasts. If you don’t consider yourself one, but always had an interest, you might want to check out the classes, which are praised by our readers.”
