Serving up a wide array of fresh and local breakfast, lunch and dinner specialties, the chefs at Baldanza Cafe, which recently opened its second “bistro” location at 1020 Post Road in Darien, make an effort to source sustainably and “work with farms that embrace the humane treatment of animals.”

“These farms are owned by people who care about our sustainable future and grow crops that do not use synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers,” the organic eatery’s website states.

From grass-fed beef to cage-free eggs, any meal served at Baldanza is sure to be sustainable and humane with each and every bite.

Start off with one of Baldanza healthy salads for an appetizer: the kale salad and the beet salad are popular choices.

For your entree, try Baldanza’s organic crispy parmesan chicken breast or the wild Maine halibut steak.

Organic lunch options include “power plates,” salads, grass-fed burgers and much more.

With its prioritization of freshness and local ingredient sourcing, it’s no surprise that Baldanza’s has earned four stars on Yelp with nearly 100 reviews.

“It has been 6+ months since Baldanza moved into its larger space on Elm Street and they have hit their stride.  The food is excellent…The owners are high-class good people who care very much about their customers! 5***** all the way!” wrote Anthony S. in a Yelp review updated Saturday, March 23.

Baldanza Cafe is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Sunday brunch. For more information, visit the website, and be sure to follow Baldanza’s Facebook page for updates.
