Iconic Actor Richard Chamberlain, Known As ‘King Of Miniseries,’ Dies

Richard Chamberlain, the acclaimed actor known as the "King of the Miniseries," has died.

The cause of his death, which occurred in Hawaii on Saturday, March 29, was complications from a stroke, his publicist said. He was 90 years old.

Chamberlain starred in notable productions such as Shogun and The Thorn Birds, which captivated audiences and achieved remarkable ratings. 

He became widely known as a teen idol for his role in the medical drama Dr. Kildare in the 1960s.

In an effort to reshape his artistic image, Chamberlain ventured into more challenging roles, including playing Hamlet on the English stage. 

He was a native of Beverly Hills, California.
