What's Happening In New Canaan This Weekend

NEW CANAAN, Conn. – A stage musical in the park, a traditional farmers’ market and music and dining outdoors are some of the events planned for this weekend in and around New Canaan. 


Summer Theatre of New Canaan Presents “My Fair Lady:” 8 p.m. General admission seats start at $20 for open lawn seating and picnics. Performances will be held at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday through July 7. Waveny Park, New Canaan.  


New Canaan Farmers’ Market: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visit with vendors selling farm fresh foods, soaps, crafts and other treats. The Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday rain or shine through Nov. 17. Center School parking lot, at Maple and Main streets.

New Canaan Chamber of Commerce Hosts EJ Couloucoundis: 6 to 8 p.m. Music from singer EJ Couloucoundis will be the featured attraction as the chamber holds its first outdoor event at the downtown flex space. The event is free and open to the public. Couloucoundis is the winner of the 2010 National Teen Idol competition and well as the 2011 Hartford Classical Voice winner. South Avenue between Elm Street and Morse Court.  


Nature Photography Hike at Audubon Greenwich: 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Get outdoors with others, share photography tips and witness the wilderness hiding just outside our backdoor. Hikes will be led by professional photographer Dan Burns and are co-sponsored by the Photography Club of Lower Fair?eld County. Sites will include the main sanctuary and others in the region. Camera or not, all are welcome to hike. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. RSVP for trip locations and rain updates.
