Monday, June 18

New Canaan Police Commission: 6 p.m. The New Canaan Police Commission will hold its regular meeting. New Canaan Police Department, 174 South Ave.  

New Canaan Inland Wetlands Commission: 6:15 p.m. The New Canaan Inland Wetlands Commission will hold a special meeting. The commission is expected to discuss pending litigation regarding the housing application for 41 and 47 Jelliff Mill Road. New Canaan Town Hall, 77 Main St.  

Screening of “The Iron Lady” at New Canaan Library: 4 p.m. Join the library for a screening of this movie, starring Meryl Streep. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

Tuesday, June 19

New Canaan Board of Selectmen: 6:30 p.m. The board will hold its regular meeting. Among the items on the agenda is the appointment of Sperry DeCew to the New Canaan Police Commission. New Canaan Town Hall, 77 Main St.

Wednesday, June 20

New Canaan Town Council: 7:30 p.m. The Town Council will hold its regular meeting. Among the items on the agenda is the approval of a $750,000 appropriation from the general fund to cover potential Board of Education shortfalls. New Canaan Town Hall, 77 Main St.

New Canaan High School Graduation: 5 p.m. New Canaan High School will salute the Class of 2012 at the commencement ceremony at Dunning Stadium. New Canaan High School, 11 Farm Road.

Thursday, June 21

New Canaan Library Friends Film Discussion: 7:30 p.m. The discussion group will meet in the Plaut Room to talk about the independent films “Maria Full of Grace” and “Brazil.” New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

Friday, June 22

Hit That Jive! Free Outdoor Concert at New Canaan Library: 7:30 p.m. The Friends of the Library present the annual “Notes in Summer” concert, featuring Moxie. Dorothy Goldberg, Kate O’Brien and Diane Orson perform their original arrangements of swing, Brazilian samba, jazz tunes and romantic ballads. A full rhythm section, two hot violins, authentic costumes and choreography make this show a blast of summer fun. The concert will be held outside at the west plaza entrance or in the Lamb Room in case of rain. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.
