Friday Powerpoint Class at New Canaan Library: 9:30 a.m. PowerPoint is a presentation software brought to you by Microsoft. Learn how to create incredible presentations, photo albums, musical accompaniments and comprehensive handouts. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

New Canaan High School Boys’ Basketball: 7 p.m. The New Canaan Rams will host the Brien McMahon High School Senators at the New Canaan High School Gymnasium. New Canaan High School, 11 Farm Road.

Saturday Door To The Other World at New Canaan Library: 4:30 p.m. Join the library’s team of high school paranormal investigators as they check the legacy portion of the library for paranormal activity in honor of the building's 100th anniversary. The group will meet in the Plaut Room. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

Sunday New Canaan Library 100th Anniversary Celebration: 2 p.m. Join the celebration of the 100th anniversary of New Canaan Library at the corner of Main and Cherry streets. There will be interesting displays and events all day. Patrons and guests are invited to join in the fun and learn the history of this special New Canaan landmark, with events and displays throughout the library. The day’s celebration will conclude with cake and refreshments for all at 4 p.m. and farewell remarks by Library Executive Director Alice Knapp. The library also will take the opportunity to recognize longtime library supporters Hud and Pat Stoddard by naming them honorary, lifetime trustees. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.
