NEW CANAAN, Conn. – A cloud computing class, high school football and a visit from a journalist-turned-author are some of the events planned for this weekend in around New Canaan. 


Cloud Computing Class at New Canaan Library: 9:30 a.m. Learning to use online websites to store your content in the cloud. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.


(Not) Just For Kids Music Demonstration at New Canaan Library: 3 p.m. (Not) Just for Kids, presented by members of the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra, demonstrates the family of wind instruments. The program is for children ages 6 to 11 with parents or a caretaker. The program is sponsored by the New Canaan Community Foundation. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

New Canaan Farmers Market: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visit with vendors selling farm fresh foods, soaps, crafts and other treats at the Center School parking lot on the corner of Maple and Main streets. The Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday rain or shine through Nov. 17. Center School parking lot.

New Canaan High School Football: 2:30 p.m. The New Canaan High School Rams will travel to Trumbull to play the St. Joseph High School Cadets. St. Joseph High School, 2320 Huntington Turnpike, Trumbull.


Author Pam Belluck at New Canaan Library: 4 p.m. Authors on Stage welcomes award-winning New York Times reporter Pam Belluck in the Adrian Lamb Room. Belluck will discuss her new book, Island Practice. New Canaan Library, 151 Main St.

David Dunlop At Silvermine Art Gallery:  4:30 p.m. In the lecture “Moving the Boundaries of What we Know, the Story of Art,” Dunlop explores how we represent what we know. How do we recognize something? How do we convert recognition onto canvas or paper? How can we expand the limits of knowledge by creating new categories? Silvermine Arts Center, 1037 Silvermine Road.
