An opening reception will be held Friday, April 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. Shed winter’s gray’s by viewing colorful paintings by Guererra and Young. Both painters pay homage to their artistic influences whilst enthralling collectors through unceasing ingenuity and evolution.

“When I paint structures I am inspired by those that hold history. Ones that have been part of the landscape for a long time - ones that may be gone soon," Young said.

Guerrera added, “I revel in the challenges and risks along my creative voyage… [It} can be physically and mentally exhausting, but it’s always worth it. To ‘give it your all’ in a day, to rest and awaken and ‘get at it again’ as the sun rises.”

On display synonymously with "VIVID" will be "Purple Obsesssion" by Stephanie Rapp Interiors. Dramatic Art celebrating all shades of the color purple anchor this seating area in which to enjoy a lively conversation or a quiet moment alone. Modern low-slung chairs and an aged brass shagreen console table reflect metallic elements also found in the art. A pony-hair chair in the corner with leather piping adds an element of surprise. Items are provided by Wakefield Design Center.
