NEW CANAAN, Conn. — The annual New Canaan Family Circus will be returning later this month when the Zerbini Family Circus comes to town.
This is the first year the Zerbini Family Circus will be coming to New Canaan, and its acts include aerialists, jugglers, clowns, and the “Wheel of Destiny,” a release said. Children will also have the opportunity to ride the camels during intermission.
The Zeribini’s are an eighth-generation family circus that has performed all across the country.
"We feel it is important to invest in our communities, and the Circus is a fun, family-oriented way to spend an evening,” Jenny Esposito, store manager of TD Bank in New Canaan, one of the leading sponsors of the event, said in a release.
Hosting the event will be the New Canaan YMCA and New Canaan Kiwanis Club. The proceeds from the circus will go to supporting the YMCA’s summer camp programs and the Kiwanis Club’s community fund, the release said.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Kiwanis again this year to present the 4th Annual Family Circus. We love providing an event for families to enjoy together, while also raising money for our community’s youth,” Craig Panzano, executive director at the YMCA, said in the release.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, and children 2 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online or at the following locations: New Canaan YMCA, TD Bank New Canaan, Karl Chevrolet, and Baskin' Robbins New Canaan.
There will be shows at 4 and 6:30 p.m. June 21 and June 22 at Saxe Middle School, 468 South Ave.
