NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Fans of fermentation will enjoy a presentation Thursday by a beer expert at the New Canaan Library.
Will Siss, author of "Connecticut Beer: A History of Nutmeg State Brewing," will discuss his book and provide a presentation that takes you back in time. The talk will be at 6:30 p.m. in the Adrian Lamb Room.
He'll talk about beer in Connecticut from its Colonial roots to breaking news about the ongoing brewery explosion in the state.
His presentation will be followed by a tasting from Charter Oak Brewing Co., a brewery based in New Canaan.
Charter Oak will bring all of its styles, including limited releases and pour samples, and talk about its locally brewed beers. Toast to Oktoberfest with a locally brewed craft beer in hand.
