NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Norwalk Hospital will officially open its New Canaan offices on Thursday night with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The event will take place in the Immediate Care Walk-In center at 38 East Ave., and at Norwalk Hospital Imaging and Blood Draw, in the adjacent building at 28 to 30 East Ave., a release from Norwalk Hospital said. There is on-site and off-street parking.

“Norwalk Hospital is pleased to be offering the New Canaan community convenient and easy access to medical care and diagnostic services as part of our commitment to enhance health care and preventive medicine services for all the communities we serve,” said Michael R. Marks, vice president of business development for the hospital.

The Immediate Care Walk-In will allow people to be treated by board-certified members of the Norwalk Hospital staff, the release said. Most major forms of health insurance are accepted and co-pays are lower than other urgent care centers in the area, the release said.

The walk-in center shares the building with Avery Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology.

The imaging and blood draw center will provide more convenient access to diagnostic services and will share its building with Coastal Orthopaedics, the release said.

The public is invited to join representatives of the hospital and New Canaan to tour the facility Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Those interested in attending should RSVP by calling 1-866-NHB-WELL.

Light refreshments will be served.
