On Wednesday, Dec. 2, Hamden Police said that, at the request of residents and Hamden Block Watch members, police have enhanced security at the shopping center.
Upgraded lighting has been installed in significant areas and security cameras are in the process of being installed as well, police said. Extra security patrols around Hamden Plaza on Dixwell Avenue will also take place.
“Throughout the holidays, the Hamden Police Department will be conducting high visibility holiday patrols in the Hamden Plaza and other shopping areas around town,” Hamden Police said. “These proactive measures have been a direct result of requests.”
