Man Hospitalized After Falling From Hotel Balcony In Hauppauge

A man is recovering from serious injuries after falling from a hotel balcony on Long Island.

It happened early Monday, May 23, in Hauppauge at the Hyatt Regency Long Island on Motor Parkway.

Suffolk County Police said New Jersey resident Alexander Keating, age 24, of South Amboy in Middlesex County, was on a ninth-floor balcony at around 12:45 a.m. when he fell over a railing.

Keating survived the fall and was taken by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition, said police.

Police are still investigating what led up to the fall.
