A man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on drug trafficking charges involving fentanyl that was seized in Western Massachusetts.

New York City resident Chanty Reynoso Vasquez, age 27, of the Bronx, was indicted on possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl in Hampden County in Indian Orchard, said the US Attorney's Office For Boston.

According to the indictment, on Wednesday, March 30, Reynoso Vasquez was busted with 400 grams or more of fentanyl intended for distribution during a warrants search by Springfield Police.

The charge of possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl provides for a sentence of up to life in prison, up to six years of supervised release, and a fine of $5 million, the US Attorney's Office said.
