West Hartford Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Girl On Her Walk Home

After allegedly putting his hands up the skirt of a child, a West Hartford man has been arrested.

Rayon Powell, 32, has been charged with fourth-degree sexual assault, second-degree burglary, second-degree stalking, violation of conditions of release, second-degree criminal trespass, and second-degree breach of peace, according to We-Ha.com.

In September, while the victim was walking home, Powell allegedly came up behind her and ran his hands up her thighs and to her buttocks. She the victim told the man to get away, he allegedly went to the other side of the street and continued to follow her.

When the girl got to her home in West Hartford Center, she went inside to change, but soon after heard someone come in downstairs. When she looked to see what the noise was she allegedly saw Powell in her home. She called the police.

Powell is due in court in December.
