Suspect At Large After Strong-Armed Robbery At St. Mary's County Dollar Store: Sheriff

Law enforcement agencies in Maryland are seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating an armed robber who allegedly targeted a dollar store on the Fourth of July.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff's Office released a surveillance photo of a suspect who is wanted in connection to a strong-armed robbery that happened at the Dollar General store on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park.

At approximately 9:15 p.m. on Monday, July 4, a spokesperson from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff's Office said that the suspect entered the store and approached a cashier.

He then allegedly pushed the employee and took out an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.

No other descriptive information about the suspect was released by the sheriff's office.

The investigation into the robbery is ongoing.
