Vos, 60, won her division with a time of 3:12:51 and beat her nearest competitor by more than three minutes. She was also the top women’s finisher from Fairfield County.
Morgan Dunne, 25, of Southport finished in 3:16:16 and was 13th among Connecticut women.
Heather Knight-Pech of Darien (3:19:08) and Stamford’s Jamie Whittendale (3:19:48) were also among the top 25 women from Connecticut.
Fairfield’s Michael Orifice, 29, finished ninth among Connecticut men. He ran 2:45:35. Darien’s Benjamin Saunders ran 2:48:11, and Stamford’s Alejandro Pasten ran 2:49:00.
One of the most impressive young runners from the region was Danbury’s James Quintanilla. The 19-year-old ran 2:56:28 in his first Boston Marathon. The University of Connecticut sophomore formerly ran cross country and track at Danbury High School.
