The women's novice 8+ team, comprised of Sophie Perez, Astrid Rydevik, Sarah Barnaby, Charlotte Lorthioir, Virginia Sideleva Marcel, Katelyn Kerrick, Sarah Brecher, Jacqueline Steinman, and Jacqueline DeMuyt, took home the gold medal in the fifteen-hundred meter race, finishing twenty-two seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
The men’s novice 8+, comprised of Colm McDermott, Jack McDonough, Leon Chambers, Sean Hayes, Connor O’Brien, Daniel Papes, Alec Howe, Jack Seavey and Bryce Anderson, also finished their race with a first place finish after battling down the course with second place finisher Annapolis.
Melissa Curtis and Alex Slabbert medaled as a duo and individually. They took silver in the women's varsity 2x event, while Slabbert took silver and Curtis snatched up the bronze in the women's varsity 1x event.
The Women’s Second Novice 8+ (Eliza Talmadge, Victoria Rojo, Isabel Rose, Betty Gao, Megan Downey, Sammy Silfen, Lia Schulman, Devon Gordon, and Molly Lesser) finished in third place, and the Men’s Second Novice 8+ (Theo Mantzikos, Cole Korzendorfer, Derek Woo, Ian Edwards, Nathan Long, Alex Woo, Barrrett McNamee Goldstein, Talal Sadik, and Alex Hatzis) took home the silver medal in their event.
Greenwich Crew will travel to Saratoga Springs, NY this coming weekend to compete in the Saratoga Invitational Regatta.
