A report of beachgoers in Greenwich about being harassed led to the arrest of a Greenwich woman for driving drunk, according to police.
Officers were called Wednesday, July 17 to Tod's Point on a report of several people harassing other beachgoers and drinking alcohol, Greenwich Police said
Information received reportedly indicated that the people had left Tod's Point and were possibly intoxicated, according to police.
The subjects' vehicle was seen traveling north on Sound Beach Avenue, police said.
Upon investigating police determined that Jessica Owen-Smith, 45, of Greenwich allegedly smelled of an alcoholic beverage and had red bloodshot eyes, according to Greenwich Police.
Owen-Smith reportedly submitted to standardized field sobriety tests and did not perform them to standard, police said.
She was then arrested and taken to the Greenwich Police Department where she was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and given a Stamford court of Wednesday, July 31, according to police.
