The Darien Police Department received a report from a man on Tuesday, Aug. 13, who stated that his 2018 Mercedes S560, which had been used by his son two days earlier, was taken from the train station.

Police said that the son boarded a train to Manhattan, and the Mercedes was found missing from the lot at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13. The man called his son to confirm the location, but the Mercedes was not where it was left.

According to police, the man’s son had left the keys in the vehicle, but locked the doors with the intent that his father would use a second set of keys to gain access to the vehicle.

The Mercedes has not been located, and the investigation is ongoing. Check Daily Voice for updates.
