Police Looking To Locate Owner After Dog Attack At Area Park

Police are asking the public for help in locating the owner of a dog who attack another dog near Barn Island in Stonington.

The incident took place around 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, when a woman was walking her dog near Barn Island it was attacked and injured by another dog in the area, Stonington Police said.

The owner of the loose dog fled and did not stay to give his information to the woman with the now injured animal,  police added.

The dog owner is described as a white, 30-40 years old, tall and thin with brown hair. He had two dogs, an older black labrador with a gray muzzle and a possibly pointer/pit bull mix that was about 70 pounds with white fur and black markings.
