A 34-year-old local man is accused of injuring a victim in a Greenwich attack in which he displayed a shotgun, according to police.
Police got a call Tuesday, July 9 about an alleged physical assault that occurred on Monday, July 8 in the central part of Greenwich, police said.
Upon investigating and reviewing video surveillance, police determined that a physical altercation had taken place, according to Greenwich Police.
Luke Zakka, of Orchard Place in Greenwich, is accused of engaging in the tumultuous physical contact which led to a physical injury to a victim, requiring the person to go to an area emergency room for treatment, said police.
Police said that during the incident, Zakka displayed a shotgun while carrying it in his right hand.
It is not known if the shotgun was loaded, according to police.
Zakka is charged with:
- Disorderly conduct, violence/threat.
- Second-degree assault with intent to cause serious physical injury to another person,
- Second-degree reckless endangerment.
He was unable to post his set $25,000 bond and was due in Stamford court Wednesday, July 10, Greenwich Police said.
