Man Chased Family With Knife After Being Asked To Turn Down Music, Norwalk Police Say

A Norwalk man was arrested after chasing family members with a kitchen knife when they asked him to turn down music he was playing.

Drekwon Battle, 21, of Norwalk, was arrested around 4 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, after Norwalk Police responded to the family's home on Longview Court, Lt. Terry Blake said.

The request to turn down the music angered Battle, who began argue with his family and at one point he grabbed a kitchen knife and began chasing multiple family members around the home while brandishing the knife, police said.

When police arrived on the scene they found, Blake said.

He was arrested on two outstanding failure-to-appear warrants and later charged with criminal attempt, assault, threatening, and disorderly conduct.

He was held on a $35,000 bond.
